As a young man growing up in Nelson, BC, I was surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Kootenay region and the welcoming community that called it home. Nestled amidst the majestic mountains and pristine lakes, Nelson provided an idyllic backdrop for my formative years. From a young age, I developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors, spending countless hours exploring the rugged trails, snowboarding down the slopes, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Kootenay Lake.
These experiences instilled in me a sense of adventure and a profound connection to the natural world that continues to shape my outlook on life and designs. In addition to the stunning natural scenery, Nelson’s vibrant arts and culture scene played a significant role in shaping my identity. I was fortunate to grow up in a community that celebrated creativity and self-expression, fostering my passion for architecture, art, and design. As I reflect on my journey from a young man in Nelson to where I am today, I am grateful for the experiences and lessons learned along the way. Nelson will always hold a special place in my heart, serving as a source of inspiration and a reminder of the profound beauty and boundless possibilities that exist in the world around us.
